Our Finca

 Finca Los Suenos (est. 1993) is an international community, protected nature reserve and home of the Rio Rosario basin.

The Finca Los Suenos, International Community  is situated on a 300-acre parcel of land located 9 miles north of Nosara, in the finest weather microclimate of the Guanacaste coast. Today, the gated community consists of 54 residential lots and 16 commercial lots amidst the private the nature reserve (exclusively owned by the FLSOA) that borders the Rio Rosario.  

Our abundant and high quality surface and ground water sets us apart from most other real estate developments on the Guanacaste coast. It comes from the Rio Rosario that starts about 10-miles east of us high on Vista Al Mar Mountain. The river drains a remote watershed area that’s also Nicoya’s largest wildlife corridor. 

In 2010, the Finca Los Suenos Owner Association S. A. (FLSOA) was formed, a Costa Rican corporation registered with 75 capital stock shares. The FLSOA’s purpose is to manage and maintain Finca Los Suenos, and to control and preserve the 86-acre nature reserve for the benefit of the community. 

 That same year, the ASADA FLS was founded to take over the water system. The ASADA FLS became registered in the National Registry, the municipality of Santa Cruz and the AyA (Costa Rica’s water authority) as the official entity responsible for our water with its own board elected by all ASADA members.
